Chloe Bailey was devastated to discover she had accidentally consumed meat for the first time in ten years.

Bailey, an American actress and singer, rose to prominence as part of the duo Chloe x Halle with her sister Halle Bailey.

The twins have released two studio albums together, the latter of which, ‘Ungodly Hour,’ received critical acclaim.

Bailey and her sister have been open about their eating preferences throughout the years.

The two have been vocal about their decision to adopt veganism, a diet that excludes the usage of animal products. 

However, Bailey was mortified to discover that she had violated her lifestyle choice when a motel botched up her order.

People went to the comments after the singer spoke out about the event, with one writing: “Seven plus years here. I completely understand this. It’s happened to me too. I am so skeptical about where I buy my food.”

Another added: “I’m vegan and the thought of it made me sick.”

Empathizing, a third said: “If I put 10 years into something and someone’s mistake jeopardizes that, I’d be p***ed…”

“That is not cool, I haven’t eaten pork in 20 years and recently stopped eating meat I would have instantly been sick,” somebody else commented.

According to The Independent, Chloe admitted in an Instagram video that she broke her meat-free streak when she went to watch Beyoncé perform in Atlanta, Georgia.

She began: “So I called to get a Beyond burger for sis and I like usual. Specified that it’s vegan, no butter on the bun, nothing like that.”

Beyond Meat is a brand of plant-based meat replacements that look, taste, and cook like meat.

The ‘Have Mercy’ singer stated that she was in the shower when the burger arrived, and when she returned to her room, her younger sister instantly questioned her about the food.

“She’s eating the burger and she’s like, ‘Are you sure this is Beyond?’ She took a couple of bites and she said, ‘This is really good, you sure it’s Beyond?’” Chloe said.

“I touched the patty and smelled it and was like, ‘Of course, it’s Beyond, yeah.’”

However, the pop star swiftly realized her error.

Chloe continued: “So I finish getting dressed, I take a bite and the juice dripping from the burger is not like a Beyond burger. I just knew it was not a fake burger.

“The one bite I took and I just knew. Immediately I said, ‘This doesn’t feel right.’”

The singer quickly called the hotel’s front desk to obtain some answers.

“I said, ‘Ugh, these are vegan burgers right?’ He said, ‘No, they’re brand burgers.’ I said, ‘Brand burgers? I said Beyond burgers.’ I don’t even know what a brand burger is,” Chloe recalled.

Understandably, the singer was outraged to hear that she had unwittingly violated her vegan lifestyle.

Chloe told followers: “Halle’s laughing at me because I’m crying. This is right before the concert yesterday. I’m crying, Halle’s just laughing so hard at me because I’m freaking out.”

Months after the burger incident, Chloe took to TikTok to disclose that she had resumed eating chicken after 11 years on a vegan diet.

Letting out a deep sigh, she began: “My confession is that recently I have begun consuming chicken.”

“And let me tell you something, yes, after 11 years – I’m dead a** serious. I’m not joking. After 11 years of being vegan, I consume chicken now.”

The ‘Do It’ singer has underlined that she does not consume any other dairy products.

Chloe told fans: “And it’s like, I am still allergic to egg whites and I don’t consume dairy and honestly it’s been really good.

“I don’t eat anything else, but I’ve just been dabbling with some chicken.”

She continued: “And you know, the first time I ate it, my stomach cramped maybe a little bit. After that, I was fine.

“I just can’t eat fried chicken with egg wash, because I’m allergic to eggs. But what I have noticed is that my body has been getting more toned. And I haven’t even been working out crazy like I usually do and I feel like it’s just been toning me.”

Joking that she would be caught ‘sooner or later,’ Chloe concluded: “So I mean, I knew sooner or later maybe there’d be a picture of me with a chicken wing in my mouth.”
