Holland Taylor has a 32-year age gap with her fellow actress partner, Sarah Paulson.

Despite a recent societal increase in cross-generational partnerships, Holland Taylor admitted to having misgivings about her age-gap relationship with Sarah Paulson, who is substantially younger.
The actress from Two and a Half Men is 81 years old, while her other half, American Horror Story frontwoman Paulson, is only 49, giving the couple a 32-year age difference.

Despite her latest revelation, Taylor and Paulson have been in a committed relationship since early 2015, a decade after meeting at a Hollywood party.
In the years since their initial public appearance, the couple has often raved over each other during red carpet interviews.

Earlier this year, Oceans 8 icon Paulson went so far as to reveal what she believes has kept their love so healthy after all these years.

During an appearance on the Smartless podcast, the actress spoke openly about her Mrs, suggesting that living apart is their secret to keeping romance alive.

“We don’t live together,” she admitted at the time. “Holland and I, we spend plenty of time together but we don’t live in the same house.

“We’ve been together for a long time now and I think part of it has to do with, we’re together when we wanna be and we’re not when we don’t.”

Despite Paulson’s emotional revelation, it appears that Taylor is concerned about the nature of their connection.

“We do have a wonderful resonance,” she firstly began. “We are very interested in the same kinds of things and yet we share big differences.

“I mean, we have a big generational difference between us, which worries me for her sake. But she, you know, what can I do?”

Taylor continued: “A lot of the things that she’s going through that are very emotional and important to her right now, I went through, you know, 40 years ago, 30 years ago.”

“And she brings them up in my memory and I think, ‘Oh, of course this is hard. Of course, that’s hard,’ or ‘Of course that’s great. Of course, that’s important to her.’”

Despite Taylor’s fears, Paulson appears to disagree, stating in an emotional homage to her partner on the red carpet of this year’s Emmy Awards earlier this week that she couldn’t be more proud of her recent accomplishments.

Taylor admitted to being pleased to be able to ‘carry her purse’ for one of television’s greatest evenings, which saw her nominated for her recent work on The Morning Show.

“Holland has been my absolute rock and has been with me in all of these things for many years and tonight I’m the girl that gets to hold her purse,” American Crime Story actress Paulson told carpet host Laverne Cox on Live From E! Emmys earlier this week.

“My nomination was last weekend, she’s the Primetime Emmy nominee, and I feel very honoured to be standing here.”
