What happened to Judge Judy during her live TV performance

Judy Sheindlin, better known as Judge Judy, is no stranger to courtroom battles. However, during one of her live performances, she experienced something she never expected – a mini-stroke. In 2011, while in front of her audience, Judy had a terrifying experience that left her shaken.

Judy thinks that she may have had a transient ischemic attack (TIA), commonly known as a mini-stroke. It happened during one of her shows, and the fans who have been watching her for 15 years sensed that something was wrong. Without hesitation, they called EMS, taking immediate action to ensure her safety.

Judy began experiencing unusual symptoms, feeling as if she was moving and asking questions in slow motion. These signs prompted the producers to dial 911, leading to a swift response from medical professionals.

A health scare

In spite of her doctors’ concerns that it might have been a mini-stroke, Judy assured everyone that she is in good health. She believes that she may have had a transient ischemia stroke, but the symptoms quickly went away. Thankfully, she has not had any further attacks and is doing well.

Embracing life at 79

At the age of 79, Judy doesn’t have any plans to slow down or leave her job in television. When asked if she had any intentions of retirement, she responded with a resounding no. Judy is not interested in pursuing other hobbies like tennis or golf. Instead, she knows what she likes and wants to continue doing what she loves.

“I am aware of the things I like to do. Why would I want to try to learn something new at this stage in my life when I already know what I like?”

Judy’s dedication to her career and passion is evident in her unwavering commitment to entertain and educate her audience.

A remarkable journey with Jerry Sheindlin

In addition to her successful career, Judy is also celebrating an incredible milestone in her personal life. She and her husband, Jerry Sheindlin, will be celebrating their anniversary this year. They have been married for 45 years, and their love story has had its ups and downs.

Early in their marriage, they briefly separated for about a year. However, they worked through their differences and came back together stronger than ever. Their enduring love and commitment to one another have been the foundation of their happiness.
